The township of Offinso in the Ashanti Region has been thrown into a state of worry following a video that has gone viral.
The video sees a convoy of luxurious cars being driven by relatively young people who could not afford them on a normal day.
Offinso is gaining notoriety as an enclave of internet fraudsters, popularly known as Sakawa boys.
There is already a public outcry over the unexplained wealth of some youth in the town who opulently display flashy cars on the streets.
The heightened fear among residents comes in the wake of the recent disappearance of some children in the town, one of whom was found murdered.
Some residents say, Offinso has become a scary place in recent times. According to a resident who spoke to Joy News’ Erastus Donkor, he saw about six boys at the Offinso cemetery one fateful night carrying coffins.
The Chief of Offinso has tasked security heads in the town to find ways of dealing with the growing concerns.
