The Republic of Ghana has witnessed lots of prominent leaders who sacrificed themselves to help build the country we live in today.

Ghana’s first President was Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah who also fought for the country’s independence and made its declaration on March 7, 1957.
Dr Kwame Nkrumah played a major role in building our country from the ground up by freeing the Ghanaian populace from the European rule.
The 2nd President of Ghana who however did the unexpected was Lt General Joseph Arthur Ankrah.
Lt General Joseph Ankrah was the next President of Ghana right after Dr Kwame Nkrumah was overthrown.
Lt General Joseph Ankrah was the first military President who ruled Ghana from February, 24, 1966 to April, 2, 1969 before he was overthrown.
Unexpectedly, Lt General Joseph Ankrah had 8 wives and 18 children as a President.
